Yes, there is *definitely* a "they". And about 2,000 years ago, we were explicitly told who "they" work for:

Incidentally, I like your avatar. In 1992-1994, I lived on the main street in Prescott, Arizona, the town where 'Billy Jack' was primarily filmed. And that's where I met a guy named Don, who played a major role in altering my religious & political views, starting me on the path that led to where I am today. I own and still re-watch that movie once every 2 or 3 years.
